ZIGUP (formerly Redde Northgate) is the leading integrated mobility solutions platform providing services across the vehicle lifecycle.
The Group provides integrated mobility solutions to businesses and personal customers. These solutions comprise vehicle rental services, accident and incident management services, repair & maintenance services, vehicle disposal and other ancillary services to keep customers mobile.
May 2024 update: We relaunched the website inline with the company name change to ZIGUP and new brand identity including updated messaging, brand colours and imagery.

The brief
Following a recommendation from their PR agency, we were delighted to engage with the ZIGUP (then known as Redde Northgate) team in 2020. They were particularly interested to learn more about our approach to project management, and our flexibility in managing change control should the need arise.
The team at ZIGUP knew they needed a website, but were considering a phased approach, with two distinct milestones. The first would be a revamp and launch of an investor focused website, with the rest of the corporate website following at a later stage. Alternatively, we would tackle all of it at the same time.
By return, we worked on a variable proposal, detailing the key considerations, timings and costs for each of the potential routes up front allowing ZIGUP to clearly consider and weigh their options.
With the broader scope agreed up front, we were also pleased to confirm that deviations, changes or additions later down the line rarely present an issue. Our selected technology platform, in particular, helps us remain flexible and accommodating, and our approach to partnering with our client throughout the project is another key factor to its success.

Our approach
We kicked off the project by forming a working team on both sides to discuss the site architecture and associated user experience.
We initially developed a series of low-fidelity wireframes to explore variations in structure for the Home page, where light prototyping allowed us to measure the impact of varying navigation and menu systems. With the basics in place, we worked up to wireframing all key pages in high-fidelity to visualise the effectiveness of each content area. Working together, we were able to quickly present content revisions in a familiar and useful format.
Working on the wireframes and content in advance helped to inform the visual design phase which followed, speeding up the process of bringing ZIGUP’s new website to life! Applying our design language to the wireframes in full helped to remove any ambiguity, while providing a clear set of instructions to inform the team in charge of the build phase.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and infographics are equally helpful at explaining concepts and imparting information. We used a cog diagram on the Home page to illustrate how each of the businesses and services within ZIGUP are connected, and the ‘road motif’ found on the About landing page was used to demonstrate a journey of sorts, beginning with vehicle hire, through to service, repairs, accident management and specialist services such as traffic management and vehicle recovery.
The outcome
With a tight deadline to launch the site prior to their Interim results, the team, including those at ZIGUP, worked hard to complete the final rounds of testing, client reviews and device optimisation according to the project plan.
We successfully launched the new website on December 1st, 2022.
Very pleased to have launched the new ZIGUP corporate website – supported by the excellent Brighter IR team guided by Ronnie Kroon & Natalie Williamson. It’s been a big project for a focused team and we are thrilled with the results. In a space with a couple of big incumbent players, it has been very refreshing to work with a smaller team who were able to flex their approach to the needs of the client and all their idiosyncrasies.
