Lucent Petroleum is a privately owned Kazakhstan based oil and gas exploration and production company with a primary interest in acquiring and developing assets in the North Caspian Basin, onshore western Kazakhstan.
Lucent’s focus is on organic value creation through the application of the latest technologies and evaluation methods to identify new opportunities, to mature them, and to monetize their full potential in an ethical and socially responsible way to the benefit of our Shareholders and all our Partners.
The brief
While the previous Lucent website was built on WordPress, they felt they were lacking the relevant support to help them develop the site to a higher standard.
The site was very light on design and imagery and they needed to better illustrate the credentials of the company, especially in terms of their history and corporate responsibility which were at that point non-existent on the site.
- ‘Beef up’ existing content by clearly showing their 15 years of experience in the region and advise on the development of a corporate responsibility section. This would allow the business to illustrate both it’s strong ties to the location of its operations and strengthen its credentials as a responsible business partner for both investors, suppliers and the local community.
- Significantly increase the use of imagery (both photos and infographics) throughout the website to bring greater life to the business case and make it simpler to understand and engage with.
- Ensure the home page presents all key information at a glance for all audiences and visitors.
- Provide access to Brighter IR’s experienced consultancy and ongoing support combined with secure hosting.
Our approach
A significant overhaul of the site was required and we worked closely with one team member from Lucent whilst ensuring complete visibility for the CEO.
To help make the scale of change simple to understand, a comprehensive Project Plan was created allowing the client to easily track, approve and contribute to the site’s development.
Working with Lucent we decided on a number of images to populate the website where previously there had been none. We also created a design for the homepage that offered far more points of entry for key topics. A complete history timeline was also developed and applied to the website.
For content we advised on the key components that we felt was missing. Most notably, this was in the area of corporate responsibility where we aided them in identifying the information required and combining this with our previous experience to aid with both content and categories.
The outcome
Lucent were very keen to have the website live in advance of Christmas creating a very tight deadline of two months to design, build, test and launch the new site. Not only was this achieved (a testimony to their commitment as well) but the key objectives were also achieved, creating a website that fully conveys the company’s story and the credentials of the business in a much clearer and engaging manner.
With a very tight timeline of only two full months the BRIGTERIR team worked with our team to deliver a unique, visually appealing, high-quality website on schedule. I found the entire BRIGHTERIR team to be highly skilled professionals who were easy to work with. Without exception each member of the team made every effort to accommodate any reasonable request. After the official launch of the webpage BRIGHTER*IR provided 30 days of service to make any final edits including in our case to implement the addition of multi-language functionality: Russian and Kazakh. They did this work and provided these follow-up services to the same high quality and standards.
